Just a note on Homestead Exemptions

It has come to my attention that some homeowners are paying third party companies
to prepare and file the Homestead Exemption form, and are wording their service as a requirement.

You can fill out the form and send it yourself  to the Fort Bend Central Appraisal District for FREE.

Lately their have been reports that these third party companies are charging anywhere from $7.00 to $35.00
for this service and then not filing your Exemption.

I am providing all the information you need to check on your Exemption and including links to the forms, you can also call me and I will be glad to check your Exemption status for you, and help with any questions for FREE.
